Mira e:S and Move steering-wheel installation recall

The steering wheel may have been installed incorrectly on the steering column, allowing the retaining nut to loosen under steering input.

Why it matters

Play can increase at the steering-wheel/column joint and, in the worst case, the joint can separate and steering control can be lost.

Manufacturer remedy

Inspect steering-wheel installation, tighten the retaining nut to the specified torque, and reinstall correctly where abnormality is found.

Applicability

Official Daihatsu recall also lists specified DBA-LA160S chassis ranges produced 2019-02-18 to 2019-07-23. Model code alone does not prove an individual vehicle is affected.

Move push-start starter-control recall

The starter control program on push-start vehicles can allow an abnormal starter operating condition if the selector is moved from P to N immediately after pressing the start button.

Why it matters

The starter can overheat and seize; continued use may produce abnormal noise and, in the worst case, prevent the engine from starting.

Manufacturer remedy

Update the starter operating-control program.

Applicability

Official Daihatsu recall lists specified LA160S chassis ranges for push-start Move vehicles produced 2014-11-24 to 2015-10-30. Model code alone does not prove an individual vehicle is affected.

Checked Oct 5, 2026Official campaign ↗
Check the exact chassis number. A model-code match does not prove that an individual vehicle is affected. Manufacturer campaign ranges can contain vehicles that are not subject to the action; use the official manufacturer lookup or dealer confirmation before relying on this list.

Fitment can vary by trim, equipment and production change. Where the source states a configuration condition, that condition controls over the model-code label alone.
