What you need

  • Reliable tyre-pressure gauge
  • Air pump or compressor if adjustment is needed

Step by step

  1. 1

    Read the fitted tyre size

RU3 pressure varies with factory tyre configuration, so identify the tyre size before selecting a pressure value.

  2. 2

    Check the vehicle placard

Treat the individual vehicle tyre placard as the final authority for the fitted car.

  3. 3

    Use the exact-code reference

Compare the placard with CarFactBook's linked RU3 source-backed pressure table rather than a generic Vezel value.

  4. 4

    Measure cold

Check each tyre before significant driving, when tyre temperature has not been raised by the road.

  5. 5

    Adjust front and rear separately

Use the verified front/rear values for the matching tyre configuration; do not assume all four positions use the same pressure.

  6. 6

    Recheck all four tyres

Confirm each reading after adjustment and investigate a tyre that repeatedly loses pressure.

Important: RU3 factory tyre configurations use different pressure values. The individual vehicle placard overrides a general reference.
