2025 Hyundai Tucson fuel tank: gas, hybrid or plug-in?
Does the 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid have the same tank as the gas or plug-in hybrid?
Hyundai lists 14.3 US gallons for the 2.5L gas Tucson, 13.7 for the 1.6L turbo hybrid and 11.1 for the plug-in hybrid. The three different powertrains do not share a single tank specification.
Applicable to: United States, 2025 Hyundai Tucson 2.5L gas, HEV and PHEV; nominal tank capacity in US gallons only.
Tucson fuel planning: identify gas, HEV or plug-in before multiplying

A tank comparison is not a range guarantee
The published US gasoline, hybrid and plug-in rows identify different powertrains. Tank capacity describes nominal fuel storage; mpg ratings describe a test-cycle result. A combined driving-range estimate would also need assumptions about usable fuel, conditions and, for the plug-in, battery charge. Those assumptions are not specified by the tank table.
A hybrid badge is also insufficient when looking up fluids. The plug-in’s electrical equipment and the India-market Tucson manual are separately scoped documents; neither should be silently substituted for the US version shown here.

Keep the refill question practical
Use the actual fuel requirement in the matching manual, rather than selecting a grade by tank size. A normal pump shutoff below nominal capacity is not a capacity test, because fuel may remain in the car. Persistent fuel-system symptoms need their own inspection and are not diagnosed by this comparison.

Match the exact vehicle.
Check 1
Identify the actual gas, hybrid or plug-in system before using the fuel-tank number.
Check 2
Electric range and MPGe are not petrol tank volume or guaranteed combined driving range.
Check 3
Do not transfer US 2025 specifications to other national markets or years.
