Seal U DM-i: battery size and electric range change by hybrid trim.

The short answer

Which BYD Seal U DM-i plug-in hybrid has the largest battery and longest electric-only WLTP range?

BYD's March 2026 Spanish-market table lists the Comfort plug-in hybrid with 26.6 kWh and up to 125 km electric-only WLTP combined. Boost uses 18.3 kWh and 80 km; Design AWD also uses 18.3 kWh but is rated at 70 km. This is not the fully battery-electric SEAL U EV.

Match the exact vehicle.

Check 1

The SEAL U DM-i is a plug-in hybrid with a gasoline engine; EV battery-only maintenance assumptions are unsafe. Consult exact manual for engine oil, coolant, filters and service intervals.

Check 2

Do not confuse EV-only WLTP range with total combined vehicle range; do not assign Comfort's 125 km to the 18.3 kWh Design AWD.

Check 3

Boost and Comfort FWD use a different gasoline-engine/hybrid configuration from Design AWD. Do not apply either model's parts or fluid data to the other without exact-year manufacturer service references.
