Sri Lankan BYD ATTO 3 Advanced or Superior? Compare the actual local battery, range, charging and tyres.

The short answer

For Sri Lankan buyers and owners, how do the original local ATTO 3 Standard Range Advanced and Extended Range Superior differ in battery, NEDC range, DC/AC charging, wheel size and equipment?

John Keells CG Auto's original October 2026 Sri Lanka brochure specifies Advanced at 49.92 kWh / 410 km NEDC / 70 kW CCS2 DC / 215/60 R17, versus Superior at 60.48 kWh / 480 km NEDC / 88 kW CCS2 DC / 235/50 R18. Both show 7 kW Type 2 AC and a 100 kW / 310 N·m front motor. These are NEDC laboratory ratings, not guaranteed Sri Lankan road distances or charging times.

ATTO 3 trip planning: compare charging windows before comparing minutes

The starting state of charge changes the comparison

The local brochure’s 30–80% statement and the Advanced webpage’s 20–80% statement cover different amounts of battery replenishment. Putting both durations in one ranking would conceal the different starting condition. Compare the same charge window, delivered equipment and test conditions before deciding that one trim charges faster.

For an actual trip, use the car’s recent measured consumption and a currently working charger. The brochure’s NEDC range is a laboratory reference, not evidence that the next stop is reachable at today’s speed, weather and load.

Resolve the delivered specification before buying accessories

Advanced and Superior have different listed wheel packages. Check the car’s actual tyre markings and pressure placard before ordering replacements or calculating running costs. The Sri Lankan warranty contract and delivered manual govern local battery-service questions; an Australian early lead-acid battery reference is not an upgrade instruction for this vehicle.

Match the exact vehicle.

Check 1

Confirm the delivered **Sri Lankan Standard Range Advanced** or **Extended Range Superior**, not the similar export-market badge. The primary source is the local October 2026 brochure and its distinct specification columns.

Check 2

Advanced uses **49.92 kWh** and Superior **60.48 kWh**; both list a **100 kW / 310 N·m front-drive motor**. Neither nominal battery capacity is a measured usable-energy guarantee.

Check 3

The stated **410 km/480 km are NEDC laboratory-cycle ratings**, not WLTP, CLTC or real-life predictions. Speed, traffic, hills, climate control, tyres, load and battery temperature alter real distance.

Check 4

Advanced lists **70 kW CCS2 DC** and Superior **88 kW CCS2 DC**. Both list **7 kW Type 2 AC**. Maximum DC capability is not the average over 0–80% or any other charge session.

Check 5

The October brochure quotes **0–80% DC in 50 minutes** under standard conditions. The Advanced product webpage separately quotes **20–80% in 30 minutes**. Different starting charge levels: do not compare these as equivalent or promise either speed at a station.

Check 6

For an outstation journey plan charging around the vehicle's measured efficiency and verified currently available chargers, with a reserve. A laboratory NEDC figure does not establish that a specific long trip can be completed without charging.

Check 7

Original local tyres differ: **Advanced 215/60 R17**, **Superior 235/50 R18**. Obtain actual tyre pressure, wheel rating and replacement fitment from the delivered vehicle's placard and exact authorised instructions.

Check 8

The distributor's specification table and disclaimer state features may vary from actual delivered vehicles. Check VIN, equipment, manual and dealer confirmation before ordering parts.

Check 9

The UK 2023–2025 60.48-kWh ATTO 3 **260-mile WLTP** profile is not Sri Lankan **480-km NEDC** data; the later ATTO 3 EVO and Chinese Yuan Plus also cannot be substituted.

Check 10

Battery-warranty transfer, state-of-health thresholds and exclusions need the signed Sri Lankan warranty documentation. Do not import Europe's **8 years / 250,000 km** policy into Sri Lanka.

Check 11

This is specification research, NOT a high-voltage battery repair guide. Do not open an HV enclosure, handle damaged charging connectors, or attempt live electrical repairs; contact an authorised trained technician.

Where the numbers came from

Compared both named ATTO 3 editions in the original Sri Lankan distributor's October 2026 eight-page brochure (physical page 6 specification tables, page 7 NEDC/charging disclaimers) and separately checked the Advanced product page's 20–80% charging statement. Qualitative local buyer intent is independently visible at https://www.reddit.com/r/srilanka/comments/1kdsn2z/ , where a buyer asks Advanced versus Superior; that is NOT a Google Trends ranking or monthly search volume. The two requested 12-month BYD-only Google Trends comparison exports remain inaccessible/unmeasured. This is one original owner answer, not automatic variants, signed battery-warranty guidance, high-voltage DIY or an overseas spec reprint.

This page is an original explanation of limited factual specifications. CarFactBook has not inferred an exact VIN, fitted replacement part, global-equivalent manual or unpublished service quantity.

Source count: 2. The original manufacturer's vehicle-specific manual and labels take priority if your exact car differs from these listed reference configurations.
