Yaris Cross oil and tyre pressure: petrol and hybrid differ.

The short answer

How much engine oil does a 2024 Japan-market Toyota Yaris Cross take, and what tyre pressure does it need?

Toyota's 2024-01 edition manuals give 3.3 L with a filter change for the petrol MXPB10/MXPB15 (M15A-FKS) and 3.5 L for the hybrid MXPJ10/MXPJ15 (M15A-FXE). Recommended oil also differs: 0W-16 for petrol, 0W-8 for hybrid. Cold tyre pressure depends on wheel size: 230/220 kPa front/rear on 16-inch, 220/200 kPa on 18-inch.

Applicable to: Japan-market Yaris Cross built 2024-01 to 2025-01 (Toyota manual edition 2401), model codes MXPB10, MXPB15, MXPJ10 and MXPJ15 only. Earlier and later editions, GR Sport and export Yaris Cross are not covered.

Match the exact vehicle.

Check 1

Confirm the model code on the vehicle's registration or plate before using these values: MXPB = petrol, MXPJ = hybrid, and the 5 in MXPB15/MXPJ15 means AWD.

Check 2

Oil quantities are Toyota reference values. Fill to the dipstick after the engine has warmed up and been stopped for at least 5 minutes rather than pouring in a fixed amount.

Check 3

Tyre pressure follows the wheel size actually fitted, not the trim name. Match the original pressure label and exact manufacturer-approved fitment; non-original wheels require qualified manufacturer-specific advice.

Check 4

Do not apply these values to other Yaris Cross manual editions (2020, 2021, 2022, 2025, 2026), GR Sport or export-market Yaris Cross without checking that edition.

Where the numbers came from

Read Toyota's official Japanese owner's-manual maintenance data pages (manual.toyota.jp, edition 2401) separately for the petrol (cv) and hybrid (hev) Yaris Cross. Each page names its model codes. Values were extracted twice with independent prompts on 2026-10-20 and matched. psi values are calculated from kPa (1 psi = 6.895 kPa) and rounded to the nearest whole psi.
