Identify before you buy
Three records that answer three different questions
| What you have | What the evidence establishes | Next owner decision |
|---|---|---|
| Honda campaign 3391 | Engine-control software action with specific serial ranges | Obtain applicability and completion confirmation. |
| GP5 2WD transmission service | ATF-DW1; cited replacement-operation reference | Agree the operation; never use a total-fill assumption. |
| Original plug identity | DILZKAR7C11S / 12290-5R0-003, four in NGK row | Verify current chassis-specific ordering identity. |
Selection aid only. An unknown or conflicting configuration needs confirmation before purchase.

Step-by-step instructions
Choose the correct manufacturer-backed specification
Use these source-backed checks to identify the option for your exact equipment. This is a selection guide, not a hands-on replacement procedure. If a component or label looks different on your car, stop and check your own manual.
- Step 1 of 5
Match GP5 rather than a petrol Fit or GP6
Record the full chassis serial, LEB hybrid identity and production period before collecting a service quote. A seller's Jazz/Fit label or shared body shape does not establish gearbox, battery or ignition-part compatibility. Keep the engine service, dual-clutch transmission and separate battery systems as distinct sections in the record.
All steps ↑ - Step 2 of 5
Ask Honda to verify campaign applicability and completion
Honda campaign 3391 is an engine-control-computer software action with listed GP5 serial ranges and production periods. It is not a blanket mechanical DCT replacement campaign. Ask Honda to check the exact serial and retain the completion record; a registration year, model-name match or seller's general claim is insufficient. The notice itself says some vehicles inside stated ranges may not need the work.
All steps ↑ - Step 3 of 5
Keep DCT-fluid evidence tied to the correct operation
The cited Fit Hybrid manual's GP5 2WD reference names Honda Ultra ATF-DW1 and a 1.3 L replacement quantity. This is not a total/dry-fill amount or a fluid for every Fit transmission. Ask the workshop to specify the operation, product and vehicle before authorising service. An oil change is not evidence that a warning, judder or delay has been diagnosed.
All steps ↑ - Step 4 of 5
Use a complete ignition-part identity when a plug order is justified
NGK's bulletin lists the GP5/GP6 LEB original plug DILZKAR7C11S and Honda reference 12290-5R0-003, quantity four. Confirm any current supersession for the actual chassis. Do not extend that shared plug row to filters, coils or gearbox parts; similarity of one component does not establish interchangeability of the rest.
All steps ↑ - Step 5 of 5
Keep hybrid ownership observations separate from repair authority
Attach dated invoices, odometer readings, actual warning messages and the workshop's findings. Use the existing GP5 storage-care and cabin-filter guides for their distinct tasks. No stored record or dashboard energy display proves traction-battery health. For owners outside Japan, keep the JDM source edition with local workshop paperwork rather than changing its specification to the destination country.
